Speaks to Sandra Bullock and Ben Affleck

Hollywood worships young, beautiful people and Ben Affleck and Sandra Bullock definitely fall into that category. The Two will soon be seen in Forces of Nature, a romantic comedy about a man whose wedding plans go awry when an eccentric young women literally falls into his life. Bullock says this is the closest character to herself she has ever played.

“Sarah is a little insane, just like me. I’m actually a nightmare to be around; I love to push the envelope. Did Ben tell you that I tried to pull his pants down in the strip scene? Like Sarah, I like to enjoy the moment.”

And Affleck, says Bullock, has a similar attitude to life. “He was like a playmate, someone I could stand being on the playgroup with for more that two hours.”

Affleck, of curse, is the hottest kid on the block since winning an Oscar for Good Will Hunting, the script he co-wrote with Matt Damon.

“I was so sure they were going to call Jim Brooks’ name and when it happened, I couldn’t breathe,” he says of that big moment. “The idea of winning an Academy Award was so strange, I kept thinking someone would tap me on the shoulder and I would wake up.”

Hoping he will reveal more about his relationship with golden gild Gwyneth Paltrow, I ask him what it would be like to wake up to the same person everyday.

“I think marriage is extraordinary,” he says, clearly guarded. “If you can make it work you have truly triumphed.” But when I ask him if he has met that women, he says, “That’s the truly mysterious thing, finding out who that person is.”

The subject of love come easier to Bullock, who says her life partner is out there: “I just haven’t found him yet! But each time I have a relationship I feel I am getting closer.”

Bullock, who is in the throes of organizing her sister’s wedding, thinks marriage can be wonderful. Weddings, however, put far too much pressure on the couple, and she would like to do things differently when she ties the knot one day: “I would like to go away, get married and then have a free-for-all fun wedding day.”

Just before Bullock and Affleck dash off, he to escort Paltrow to the Screen Actors Guild Awards, they exchange a kiss and a few friendly words. I watch them and think: two superstars having fun being young and beautiful in Hollywood.
