Thank you so much for your energetic, dynamic and encouraging speech this weekend at the GATech WLC. I consider myself a very good networker, however your tips were outstanding and I realized that I have a lot to learn from someone as well networked as you are!
We ran out of time at lunch, but I wanted to share one suggestion with you to share with other women. The topic of getting a mentor came up and I wanted to remind women to not ONLY seek women mentors. While it is very important to have women as mentors, it is just as important to have men. An honest male mentor can give a lot of feedback to help avoid the 'shrinking violet'
syndrome and explain how to be aggressive without coming off as a b.....
